YouTube Videos Turn To Gaming?

Remember Captain Power? It was a TV show back in the 80s that allowed viewers to interact with it by purchasing a light gun and shooting at the screen. YouTube is taking a step towards interaction by coming up with annotations. Is this the future of online video?

I tried it and found the experience a bit jarring. The required load per click made the whole thing feel a bit disjointed. If the YouTube devs can figure out a way to make it feel smoother, maybe this thing has a chance. We'll keep an eye out for smoother annotations in the future. Hopefully, it becomes a reality.
