Microsoft's Desk Is Serious Business

Presenting a demo of Microsoft's Center For Information Work.

It's basically a touchscreen desk that's designed for those in manufacturing, construction and other businesses that require close monitoring and on-the-spot projections. It can scan documents and convert them from picture to text. I'm not sure how closely it'll work, but there's a feature that lets you watch your manpower allocation on the floor, so it's got a big brother feel to it too. It seems like one of its key abilities will be the ability to project if your business can handle larger projects. I'll stop before I begin to sound even more serious.
