Microsoft Goes After Yahoo! Again

ms.PNG

Microsoft is after Yahoo! again. This time, it's not going to be as subtle as before.

...Microsoft would be interested in discussing with a new board a major transaction with Yahoo, such as either a transaction to purchase the "Search" function, with large financial guarantees or, in the alternative, purchasing the whole company.

If you can recall, Microsoft tried a softer approach by making an offer to Yahoo! and its board, sparking debate and discussion across the Internet regarding the implications of the combined might of two of information technology's most recognizable brands. Microsoft was left disappointed though, with Yahoo! leaving the offer hanging in the air. Although rumors persisted that it was still interested in Yahoo!, this is the first time that something solid happened after the botched deal. We'll keep you posted on how this one develops.
