Google Introduces New Gadgets To Gmail

Google is taking a page out of the software suite's playbook by integrating Calendar and Docs with Gmail. With this implementation, users will now be able to access both services right out of Gmail.

To get you started, we've worked with the engineers from the Calendar and Docs teams on two highly requested features: a simple way to see your Google Calendar agenda and get an alert when you have a meeting, and a gadget that shows a list of your recently accessed Google Docs and lets you search across all of your documents right from within Gmail.

So if you've also done some integrating of your own with Google's services, then the new gadget is sure to be useful. Personally, I don't use Calendar, but making Docs easier to access is pretty sweet. Now I don't have to worry about formatting my email correctly. I'll have Docs to do that for me.
