Firefox 3 Impressions

Since we're all about hands-on experiences today, let's see what early adopters of Firefox 3 have to say. The new version of Mozilla's browser became available yesterday and the massive demand for it caused the download servers to crash. Does it deliver what it promised? Is Firefox going to be a victim of its own success? Here's one opinion:

Overall, I'd say that if you like Firefox 2 you want to upgrade to Firefox 3 pretty quickly. That's rare praise. Great job, guys.

Rare indeed. Long-time PC users have grown to be wary of new versions of software since they tend to do the opposite of what they were supposed to do, which is to make the problems worse rather than fixing them. Skeptics will tell you that new features mean new bugs, and they've got a point. It's good to see that Firefox 3 avoids that.
